Your days in the Cirque de l'Ardeur are coming to an end. It will be less than 48 hours until you're allowed to leave if you choose so. With the finish line in sight, all one must do now is survive until then.

However...one or more people may not have gotten to.

When everyone wakes up, nothing seems off. There are no burning tents right now. Despite that, as soon as they get wandering around, they'll notice something awful happened last night.

It's time for the second performance of the Cirque de l'Ardeur to begin.

[ So this place is a mess. There's a bunch of things to check out on the floor, or David can check out the blood by the makeup vanity. Which first? ]

[Well. He’s already here, next to a very crispy blonde.

What can he see around the car?]

[Besides the nearby grass being scorched? There's not really anything that looks terribly off. With that said, how closely is he looking here?]

[Close!! Are there footprints, or tracks of any sort? Smears of blood in case the clown car or Constance struck back?]

[Give Phil a couple of minutes to stop crying and wipe his eyes and then he's going to swallow hard (and try not to throw up) and move in to take a closer look at the body.

So the cause of death is pretty immediately obvious, he assumes, but he's going to take a closer look anyway. Will he be able to tell where the fire started from the degree of severity of the burns?]

[Oh Phil.

Incidentally, I am a doofus and I forgot to mention there is literally a sword sticking out of her chest during the body discovery so please pretend that was there the whole time. Anyway!! The burns are pretty much all over her body, so he can't exactly tell where the fire started from that alone especially since the rest of the car interior is also pretty well seared. With that said, the smell of gasoline was stronger when he was outside the car rather than inside.

As he's checking out her slumped body, he might also notice there's something up with her neck, as outlined in the body diagram. With that said, the charring is still pretty bad, so. Lemme ask: how is he going to inspect this?]

[WELL OKAY YEAH that is fairly obvious, good to know. Would he recognize this sword as one that anyone has been carrying during the week?

But since there is something going on with her neck, let's take a look at that first. What sort of injury are we talking about here?]

BEER GARDEN

[She's here to drown her sorrows (not actually.) What does she see?]

[ The beer garden has seen better days. The damage isn't extensive, but some of the roses hanging on the trellis here have fallen onto the floor, and there's petals and leaves strewn about on the ground.

More eye-catching is that there seems to be a mess happening over by one of the tables. ]

[ Clover's finally awake after that announcement. After quickly picking up Money, she'll walk over to the beer garden, because uh. Reasons.

She doesn't want to get in Raven's way, so uh, is there anything not around Raven that catches her eyes? Or will she just spend too much time staring at Money and wondering if it's okay for both of them to get drunk. ]

All the stuff of interest is around Raven, but since she's focused on what's on the ground clover can look at the other object on the table besides the boardgames. It's a glass of wine.

...this is just the thing to give to her and money huh. ]

[ WELL; SHE'S HERE.

It looks strongly like Novio has been mauled by an animal, so let's get an overview of the site... what happened to the animal? ]

[Alright, let's get this done. The animal is here, that's for certain.

This animal in question is a wolf! Its pelt has quite an amount of blood on it, soaking its torso. There also is blood on its paws and claws, and there's even some on its jaws.

Novio's corpse is bloody, the wolf's corpse is bloody...this med tent truly is an unpleasant time. Perhaps it's a good thing Tokiko is ready to tackle this all]

[ most of the commotion seems to be going on around the animals and acrobats area, but she hasn't forgotten just how much trouble this spot gave them last time. diluc's death is still a mystery; if they want to figure out this set, they'll need to stay on top of things twice as hard.

as far as she's concerned, this is one of the shadiest spots of the lot. so what's the story, here? ]

[ As noted on the investigation, the entrance of the training tent is blocked by the airtight box, and a miscellaneous wooden box. Weird.

It won't stop Haru from gaining access to the actual tent though, since there's just. a hole torn in the tent right beside the entrance. Who needs an actual entrance when you can just make one? ]

[ well, he was already over here anyway, and he at least remembers the general layout of things from when he watched diluc playing with fire last week!

so, what's off at a glance. something about containers and a blockage...? ]

[ There sure is a blockage. But Robin can slip through the hole in the tent just fine to look into the tent where he will see... things looking pretty normal actually.

Maybe the hole was just for decoration? ]
