Your days in the Cirque de l'Ardeur are coming to an end. It will be less than 48 hours until you're allowed to leave if you choose so. With the finish line in sight, all one must do now is survive until then.

However...one or more people may not have gotten to.

When everyone wakes up, nothing seems off. There are no burning tents right now. Despite that, as soon as they get wandering around, they'll notice something awful happened last night.

It's time for the second performance of the Cirque de l'Ardeur to begin.

[The wolf is closer to the entrance! Although not by that much, they're generally in the same area.

Take a look around, Milla! Checking around, you'll find...huh. Looks like some red fur. Intensely red fur, in fact]

[Red fur, huh...? She's going to cast her mind back to see if she's seen anything similar to it before (maybe in the wardrobe tent...?), but at the same time she's lifting it to her nose to sniff and see if there's any scent about it.

Now where did this come from...

(also for my sanity is this like fire-truck red, ginger hair orange-red, or something else...)]

[Nothing you can recall resembles this! And the smell is...well, what you would expect. This definitely smells like an animal. Not terribly pleasant, and there's also all the blood in this place making the air have a heavy scent of blood, so what can one do, really.

For your sanity, this is fantasy red. Does that help?]

[IT DOES THANK YOU and yeah, that scent is about what she was expecting. So she'll grab something to wrap the fur in so that it doesn't get weirdly mingled with her own furs (paper towel, maybe?) and tuck it away.

A couple more questions for details' sake: Was Novio on a cot or a bed, or on the ground? I'm assuming the wolf was on the ground. Does it look like any of the tent walls were disturbed at all? Really, is there anything more to be found in here...]

[On the ground! And the wolf was on a cot--okay no, the wolf was on the ground too, yeah. Looking around, it doesn't seem the tent walls were disturbed.

It seems...there's nothing inside this med tent worth looking at other than the bodies and the sword and the fur. While she's stepping outside, though, she'll notice a hole in front of the tent. Oho!]

[THE WOLF HAS RIGHTS--

But wao, a hole!! That's sure something worth looking at! She wishes that this place was a little colder, that it might hold the direction the fabric was torn in, but oh well... Let's take a look at what we've got here! How big is the hole, first off? What do the edges look like? Do they look like they were ripped or cleanly cut by something? (Or clawed open?)]

[Just in case I should clarify by "a hole in front of the tent" I mean a hole on the ground in front of the tent, not on the front of the tent. My bad!

It's a small hole, though! Around one foot deep. The edges look soft, since the hole is slightly muddy. Nice?]

[OH WHOOPS LMAO me going "a hole in front of the tent that sounds like something to do with tent walls????" and just. Not even questioning it--

LET'S RESET THESE QUESTIONS! Milla will squat down next to the hole to check it out. Interesting that it's muddy here in specific--is the ground muddy anywhere else, or has the ground here been softened to allow a hole to be dug? Lifting her Sunstone, she's going to focus on it to increase its light and see; is there anything of note in the hole? Like the print/slide mark from someone stepping in and tripping?]

[It looks...pretty standard for a hole, all things considered. Featureless. No prints, nothing that's worth noting from looking at it...but, curious thing, this is the only part that's muddy, nowhere else Milla can see is like this!]

[STRANGE AND UNUSUAL. Milla's going to stand and circle the med tent to see if there's a shovel or some sort of implement that might have been used to dig it! Or something the water might have come from to make it muddy? Hmm.]

...you find nothing left around here that could be a clue for those inquiries. Welp]

[A shame! ACTUALLY YOU KNOW WHAT Milla's taking a sniff here too just to be sure, was the mud made with water or with a different liquid?

Is there anything else to be found? If not, Milla is going to see about trying to find some way to get Novio, the sword, and the wolf to the main tent just in case they have questions about them...

I hope she has time to clean up before trial, otherwise she'll be there in bloodied furs :') ]

[There's only the scent of mud! Without anything that hints the hole was done with anything unusual, so it probably was water.

From sight or smell nothing else can be found about the hole. There also doesn't seem to be any other noteworthy objects around in this med tent area]

[Good deal! Time to drag all this dead weight to the big top and not ask to help because that'd be admitting defeat!!!
