Your days in the Cirque de l'Ardeur are coming to an end. It will be less than 48 hours until you're allowed to leave if you choose so. With the finish line in sight, all one must do now is survive until then.

However...one or more people may not have gotten to.

When everyone wakes up, nothing seems off. There are no burning tents right now. Despite that, as soon as they get wandering around, they'll notice something awful happened last night.

It's time for the second performance of the Cirque de l'Ardeur to begin.

[ Blood for the blood gods!

Actually there's not that much blood here, it's a bit more than a few drops, certainly enough to have caught his attention but not a large pool or anything. As David looks at the blood he'll notice one of the drops (though this one is more of a smear) seems to be more under the vanity than around it. ]

[ welp, gonna get a bit closer to that one. the vanities, are they more stuck to a wall or are they moveable? ]

[ They're moveable! Is David gonna flex and move the vanity? ]

[ do i get bonus points for taking off my shirt to do it? ]

[ ~~SQ whistles somewhere in the distance~~.

Regardless of how this vanity is being moved, scooting it back just a little bit reveals some letters scratched into the dirt, though it looks like some of them are unreadable. ]

[ noting that. anything else of note with the blood and the vanity ]

[ Nothing else of note over here! Though since he's looking at the floor, going back to the other mess he stepped over to get here, his eyes will likely fall onto a bright blue cloak, strewn across the ground. ]

[ well he's going to look that over before picking it up

[ There's nothing to really note about the cloak other than it seems to have been dropped here. More interesting on the ground near it is a hammer. ]

[ IS THERE BLOOD ON THE HAMMER!!!! ]

[ There is! ]

[ david has a lot of experience being hit with hammers. what size of hammer is it? what kind? how much blood is on it? where is the blood located?

[ It's more correctly a mallet than your regular run of the mill hammer, like the kind you use to win a prize from the carnival games here! There's blood on one end of the head. ]

[ is it actually the mallet from the highstriker? [

[ Sure is. ]

anything else in the mess to find? ]

[ One more thing.

There's something else red on the floor, though it's not blood. Look closer? ]

hell yes ]

[ It's a tuft of red fur. Score? ]

Fur?

[ what the fuck mates

is there anything else in wardrobe? ]

[ Who knows. There's nothing else to note, but for reference there were signs of a scuffle around the area the cloak and the fur was found. ]

[ GUESS WHO HAD A REPLY AND NEVER HIT SUBMIT

how big of a scuffle was it? ]

It wasn't a small one, though its impossible to get a read on footprints just given how messy it was. ]

[ same thing as last week? footprints too scuffed up to get a good read on them? ]

[ For one of them at least! The other pair of footprints is small and dainty. ]
