The Cirque de l'Ardeur is always so pleasant. The sky is always bright, the clouds are always fluffy, and there's always a slight breeze that feels invigorating to anybody waking up.

This time there's an important difference -- one that will underscore something is abnormal today. The breeze carries the scent of something burning. It's a strange, strong, and unpleasant scent, and it feels foreboding due to how out of place it is in the otherwise crisp morning. It won't take long to see the smell of burning items isn't the only anomaly today, as there's visible proof in certain areas that something is afoot.

Looking around it doesn't seem either of your hosts is nearby. Going to the ringmaster's tent to ask what's happening will find it once again has that pesky magic that bounces you away if you try to enter. It seems that, if you want answers, you'll have to find them on your own.

Come one, come all! It's time to begin the first performance of your stay in the Cirque de l'Ardeur!

[Okay, now that the fire is out, he'll head back to take another look at the missing ice blocks.

So, how many missing blocks are we talking here?]

[ This might be a nice tent to be in after all the fire. It looks like there's around five blocks of ice missing from what Phil can tell. ]

[Interesting. And there are no puddles around nearby to indicate that they were melted or anything of that sort?]

[wringmaster]

[ Nope, everything in here looks frosty as it should. ]

[Okay. How heavy do the blocks look to be? Are there any marks on the ground to indicate they might have been dragged out, or did whoever move them just pick them up somehow?

... he might also try lifting one himself just to test. Phil why.]

[wringmaster]

[ The ground in the ice top (which is snow covered) doesn't have any obvious tracks but it does look disturbed, though there's no real pattern to it.

As for whether Phil can lift this! How much can he lift! ]

Phil can lift it if he really puts his all into it, so it's not like ridiculously heavy but it's not light either. Presumably he knows things by measure of book weight, so it's around heavy science college textbook weight, which is roughly 20lbs or so. ]

[Okay, that's a familiar metric, yes. He can definitely guesstimate with that one.

That aside, what else is up with this tent? Anything that he would notice as being amiss?]

[ Shakes hand at fat biology textbooks.

Anyway, there's nothing else to notice in the ice top, the snow is disturbed but not in any visible pattern. The most you can tell is that someone or something was in this tent. ]

[Awright then we done in here.

What about the outside?]

[ Nothing to note outside either. ]

[If there's nothing else to find, then he's going to go back to his tent to huddle in that sweatshirt he yoinked from the gift shop because BRR it's cold in here.]
