The Cirque de l'Ardeur is always so pleasant. The sky is always bright, the clouds are always fluffy, and there's always a slight breeze that feels invigorating to anybody waking up.

This time there's an important difference -- one that will underscore something is abnormal today. The breeze carries the scent of something burning. It's a strange, strong, and unpleasant scent, and it feels foreboding due to how out of place it is in the otherwise crisp morning. It won't take long to see the smell of burning items isn't the only anomaly today, as there's visible proof in certain areas that something is afoot.

Looking around it doesn't seem either of your hosts is nearby. Going to the ringmaster's tent to ask what's happening will find it once again has that pesky magic that bounces you away if you try to enter. It seems that, if you want answers, you'll have to find them on your own.

Come one, come all! It's time to begin the first performance of your stay in the Cirque de l'Ardeur!

[Early in the morning, Raven finds her way out of Haru's tent. She'll proceed to the mess hall if there's nothing around the private tents.]

[Oh god something's burning. When he gets out of his tent he's most definitely on edge, eyes darting around to see if there are any signs of smoke or fire nearby.]

[Since Phil promised Minato that he's going to remember to eat, he'll emerge from his tent and head towards the mess tent to grab some breakfast.

Huh, that sure is an interesting smell this morning...]

[Minato's pacing around the private tents, pensive, and checking around Diluc's tent in particular.]

[ Clover wakes up on the floor somewhere in the gift shop. Well, she can't say shit to Minato anymore, which is the worst part of this so far. But past self, at least fall onto a bench first? And sheesh, what's that smell?

Before she goes to gather the stationary she grabbed and wrote on last night, is there anything that would stick out to her? Please don't be fire. ]

[ well this is promising. emerging from his tent and gonna head to med tent to scrounge up some supplies and see what he can do to help out ]

[Wait actually I forgot my own curfew Jester doesn't have to go anywhere to determine if the main tent is on fire.]

[Well, is there one fire burning, or many? Is it possible to follow the source of the smell at all?

Otherwise one (1) Wizard is wandering towards the sky top tent at a leisurely pace, because of course he is.]

Anyways, Novio's going to take his old ass on a lovely morning walk through the field.]

[The magic bonfire is crackling as cheerfully as ever, even if the rest of this place is distinctly, uh, not so cheery. At any rate, there are definitely things that are off around here, but those can wait for later--one thing that's pretty visible while she's here though is probably some tire tracks in the dirt that seem to lead from the Double A tent to... somewhere else.]

Tokiko stands there for a second, debating if she'd rather just go get breakfast, but then follows the tire tracks. ]

[The smell of burning stokes a feeling of unease that quickly turns to panic for Subaru - it could just be nothing, but he goes to check the training tent first.]

[ The redhead you are looking for is not in his tent. Hm. ]

[It seems there's no tragedy awaiting around in the private tents! Nothing that looks like it's burning, at least. As for Haru herself, that's a mystery right now. Où est Haru Okumura?]

[ The gamestands are not on fire, and look just like they do any other day. ]

[Well uh, while Novio's taking a nice lovely stroll in the field, he might notice something that's distinctly... large and clunky sticking out of the pond.

[Grab your breakfast, Phil! It seems the food area is clear! Although, given that's the immediate suspect for anything burning, perhaps should be taken as a bad omen despite everything]
