Second Investigation
Investigation 2
Your days in the Cirque de l'Ardeur are coming to an end. It will be less than 48 hours until you're allowed to leave if you choose so. With the finish line in sight, all one must do now is survive until then.
However...one or more people may not have gotten to.
When everyone wakes up, nothing seems off. There are no burning tents right now. Despite that, as soon as they get wandering around, they'll notice something awful happened last night.
It's time for the second performance of the Cirque de l'Ardeur to begin.

Anyways, sometimes you really can tell that a place is just cursed. Maybe it's because of unsavory rumors that waft around the area, or maybe it's because there's something about the place that gives it an ominous air. Either way, sometimes you just know.
In this case though, it's probably more due to the object that's been abandoned right in front of the Double A tent. With its charred exterior and the smell of burnt rubber, barbecue and the sickly scent of gasoline left in its wake, it's apparent that the luck that had allowed it to survive for most of the week had finally ran out. Truly, fate is cruel to
Carlosclown cars. In any case, there's no doubt about it: Clown Car the Second is dead.Incidentally, there does seem to be a figure visible through the shattered glass windows, as if they were slumped against the backseat. With that said, it's rather difficult to distinguish their features mostly because, well. It seems like they're quite well done. ...Or in other words, they're rather burnt.

He is really not cut out for this sort of thing at all, but he's going to head over to it to see if he can tell who this is...
Also RIP Clown Car mk 2, we barely knew ye]no subject
[He’s helping(?)! Kind of anyway, since just showing up while on the way to a different tent is probably not great for Phil’s heart. ]

Nevertheless, looking up close is really as unpleasant as it would be for any other corpse--while the heavy charring obscures most of their main features, it's clear that the figure is fairly slight which has been made all the more delicate-looking with how the heat has desiccated some of the flesh. Even so, there are still some hints of this person that, while severely damaged by fire, still remain intact enough that they're left identifiable. For example, there's the high heels that remain on the floor of the car cabin. And there are some clumps of hair that, while burnt, can still barely be made out to have been blond in color. Lastly, there is of course the pair of elegant earrings that dangle from their ears even now, even if the luster has been tarnished by the flames.
They were someone who stood proudly when in the shadows yet shrunk away from the light. So perhaps seeing them here, with their body slightly curled as if cringing away from the sun, is a little bit ironic.
Constance von Nuvelle is dead.]
